Default Intake manifold question

The car is finally tuned up with the new performer carb (changed the springs) and timing is right on.

It steers, handles and brakes now too :D:D:D

But, I still have the broken bolt on the intake manifold.

I need to replace the bolt at minimum, but I am considering what else I can do cheaply while I am there.

Since I need to take off the intake (Torquer II) and I have access to a free weiland stealth, I am considering swapping. Is this a good swap, or should I change to the the new performer eps manifold?

The specs:
73 L48 with a crower solid lifter cam (unknown specs), Stock heads with some work done (still unknown as of yet), Torquer II, TH400 transmission, 3.08 rear. I am aiming for low end torque and will likely either buy a new engine or build this one up next winter.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Personally I would use the Stealth. Its a dual plane versus the Torker which is a single plane. A dual plane will give you better response at the low end every day, all day long :D

I've heard good reviews on the Stealth and was strongly considering it before I got the Summit Crosswind (which is nearly identical to the RPM Airgap).

I would never run a single plane intake on a street car where low end torgue is desired. Single planes are generally to make horse power at high rpm for the track...but do so at a cost to low end torque..which is usally what your after on the street.

I run the Weiand Stealth - picked it because it's power band runs from idle to 6500, or something wild. Much better for my use than anything else. I agree with using a dual-plane for the street - much better with the low end. I think you'd be very happy with the Stealth.

My vote goes to the Stealth as well. I have been told that the original Torquer is a much better intake than the Torquer II by a few who build for both race and street.
