Hey, thanks man! I bought my totaled '77 back from the insurance company last month and I was afraid I paid too much for the salvage. If the hunk of junk you found is really selling for $3K, then I feel pretty good about buying my car back, superficial damage and all, for only $2K. Sweet.

Actually, if it's an original manual convertible, then $3,000 for it in that condition is a steal...even though it's an L48 (since the valve covers are plain and not ribbed)...looks like about $4,000 worth of parts and labor would get it into restored condition and the blue book is around $18,000. If it had an L82 then it would be worth over $20,000. all because it's the last of the original rag tops. Heck, it's even got the smog pump! The radiator shroud alone is worth $400.
