Default Ignition switch change?

Buddie of mine just e-mailed me and asked how to remove the ignition switch on a 72 Coupe. As I suffer from CRC (can't remember crap) I thought one of you guys could pass along some info. Thanks Jim

The ignition switch is mounted down under the dash on top of the steering column. You have to drop the column to get at it. Go to http://www.corvettefaq.com and look under Steering. There is a paper entitled Adjust Dimmer and/or Ignition Switch.

You need to drop the steering column. When you can see it, it's obvious. Just unplug the harness and remove the two screws. Make sure it's adjusted properly before you button up, there's for and aft room to move within the mounting slots.
