Default No more overheating

At least I will know about it, I bought an AutoMeter warning light and sending sensor that screws into my manifold and the light will go on at 200 degrees.

I never see 200 degrees so if it goes on while driving around I will know there is a problem and I can switch my manual over ride on which consists of one of those battery disconnect switches with the red removeable lever and good for 200 amps.

Switching that on overrides everything and is a direct connection from my 2 13inch Spal fans to my battery. No fuses, no relays no nothing just a heavy gauge wire directly connecting my fans to my battery.

I dodged a bullet a few days ago, turns out even the mos thorough can make a mistake. Looks like I had only one of "clips" on my rad cap in contact and it slowly steamed most of the water out of my rad.

Temps were around 260 degs and I believe the racing heads with a bit more metal ( AFR227's ) along with a 3 piece steel composite gasket and a racing block may have saved me an expensive repair.

It kind of took my by surprise because I am constantly looking at my gauges, temp first then oil pressure so I might have caught it pretty quick too.

I know it's know good without pics so here they are, disregard the mess I am re-doing the interior

Oh I thought you were going to say you put a stock fan and clutch back on it.

That is a Grant steering wheel and believe it or not one of the best mods I have done. The steering wheel is a little smaller and the wheel part of it is kinda squared off not round and it feels really nice in your hands

While the stock fan is foolproof unless it's 40 years old and not functioning properly I really don't think it will cool this motor. A custom made BeCool rad and 2 13 inch Spal fans is what I have and have worked flawlessly on just one fan unless of course you don't tighten the rad cap

Where did you get the white face gauges? They look great.
