Default Rear window defroster question

I'm wanting to tint the rear window of my 78 which has the defroster heat strips. I really wont ever have a need to defrost any window in this car and think it would look better under the tint without those strips. Can you razor blade those heat strips off or has anyone did this?

I've never tried to take them off but I have repaired one with part of the strips missing.
I would say they should razor off easily.

I assume there the factory defoger lines not after market stuck on the surface. If they are factory DO NOT REMOVE. The you will end up scratching the glass and from the outside the orande line will be different shades of colors. IMHO being Window Tinter ive had some experience with your situation. If after market you should be able to remove them with a single edge razor blade, Have plenty of new razor blades cause they could dull out fast and scratch the glass.
