Default Location

Depends on your build date for the absolute location. I believe Chevrolet moved it a little bit during the 68 production year.

Default 1968 corvette mirrorlocation

this 68 car was built in mid may. Location is unknown due to several holes drill.

May should be the late location point. It's the same and 69-76?

Early position was within an inch or two of the leading edge of the door. Later position moved rearward same spot as 69-77. Not the best example to be sure, but the position is correct:

Is there a mirror on the car now? If the position is good, you could use the existing holes.

Yours would have the later location. After early March the mirror was moved back about 6 1/2 inches from the earlier location. I have an early car so I can't give you an exact location for yours.

Yes, a mid to late production 68 will use the same location as your 71.
