I'm not on you Skunkworks. In the past I've posted Bonneville Salt Flat c-3 pictures. Some of them are surprizingly stock looking with only more body rake and side mirrors removed.
But our 40 year old C-3's are no match for the late 90's air slick Firebird/Trans-Ams They all run up around 300 mph
My 1980 is supposed to have a coefficient of drag of about .44, which sounds pretty bad, until you look at a '79, which had about a .50 coefficient of drag! Not a whole lot of difference in the two cars, just the front and rear bumper, mainly, so seemingly small changes can make a big difference, I guess. For comparison, C4s are supposed to have a CD of about .34, C5s about .31. Mmmmm, slippery.......
I got my figures from another thread here on the forum, so I can't vouch for the reliability of the info, but it sounds reasonable.
