As a former professional tech, I've never, ever had a problem with a moog part. Be aware there are counterfeit (damn Chinese) parts, buy from a trusted source. There is a recent post describing the correct casting and dust boot markings on Genuine Moog parts. If the price is too good to be true, they're suspect, and probably fake. Wilcox is a trusted supplier, from a satisified customer.
Just because they say made in the USA does this mean they are made to Moog specs? Is brand name (Moog) more important than made in USA? Just asking so we make the better choice.
Our USA suspension kit comes with Moog and/or Dana joints. The lowers are always Moog, the uppers are in most cases Dana Corp.
It is just my opinion, but I don't think it makes a difference to me if I use Dana or Moog from a quality stand point and the USA kits are all we install in our shop.
If I had my preference I would actually use the Dana upper over the Moog based on the appearance factor. The Dana upper ball joint reflects a more original style joint vs. the "Top Hat" design by Mood. (or FMM, Federal Mogul Moog).
I was leaning towards Moog, so I found the cheapest price and ordered from Jeg's. I decided this project has been such a pain I NEVER want to do it again, so I want the best parts.
