Default LS1/Mechanical Clutch

Has anyone converted to an LS1 motor and kept their mechanical clutch? If so, what did you use for the pivot ball on the engine side? I've got a Scoggins/Dickey bracket but it doesn't appear like it will work. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Fred Z.

Yep, I did an LS1 flywheel/clutch/pressure plate with a Richmond 6 speed in my 68 vette.
And I just put an LS1 in a 72 442 with a 10 spline muncie.
Both have Z bar clutches.
Just looked at the sdparts pivot ball adapter. Did you know there was a corvette specific one?
I actually used a plate off the motor mount adapter (from speedhound). I also redrilled the frame mount since my motor was 1" forward from stock.
On the 442 I used the 621 bell housing mounting boss, moved the frame mount back, and shortened the link.
You'll also need to get correct fork geometry. With an LS1 flywheel/clutch you'll need a longer throwout bearing and an adjustable fork pivot helps too.
