Spring has been awsome here in South Florida so far. The last 6 - 7 weeks have been awsome. I drove my Vettes to work for the last 4 weeks and I only got once into rain (a brief shower)... I actually got my daily driver back last wednesday but I continued driving my Vettes to work because of the awsome weather!!! The highs have been always in the 80's and lows in the 70's...
Yesterday, and so far today, the skies have been completely clear. There are hardly ANY clouds.... Unfortunately rainy season is coming up soon. Officially rainy season starts middle to late May... This would be already in 3 weeks... I hope it will be late or not too wet this year.
>>I hope there's not too much rain in August. I shrink when I get wet.
August is rainy season - however - usually August is drier than June and September. It's going to rain almost every day but if you're lucky - the rain will last only short time. If there won't be any Hurricanes - you should be ok - there is usually more sun than rain!!

BTW: The rainy season is not as strong on the Florida West Coast. I lived in the Tampa area for a couple of years and the main difference between that area and Miami is that in Tampa - the rain and thunderstorms are stronger but last much shorter than in Miami. In Tampa - during rainy season - the thunderstorms usually start at 3 - 4 PM and last 20 - 25 minutes and a few minutes later it clears nicely... Here in Miami - the rain/thunderstorms usually last longer....
Re: Perfect weather in South Florida!!! (GrandSportC3)
Rain????!!!! It's snowing here. Enough to accumulate. We probably have an inch already and it's still snowing. Two weeks ago it was in the 90's, today it's in the upper 20's and snowing. That's SD for you.

I am used to that kind of weather too. I was born in Austria/Central Europe. I remember that one year (I don't remember how many years ago) the temperature on 23rd of December reached a record high of 65 degrees. The next day the temperature dropped to -5 degrees..... 70 degree temperature change within 24 hours.... I am happy that I'm living now in Floria. Can't imaging living anywhere else (exept maybe Hawaii)!!

Ok Olivier....I'll leave it up to you to fix it so that it rains in Miami while we're in Tampa and visa versa. How's that.....think you can manage it?

Even though it has been very nice mild weather here in Houston, I can't wait to arrive in Florida :D and enjoy that nice weather before the rainy season starts... I just hope the weather is mild on sunday of next week because I will be downloading all my stuff from the moving truck .

I will write a letter to the Weather Channel to request that and another one to the NHC (National Hurricane Center) to tell them not to send any hurricanes to Florida in August!! ;)

P.S. Just came back from a awsome day at the beach... First lunch at Hooters in Fort Lauderdale Beach (overlooking the beach) and then getting some tan.... I have the same plans for tomorrow... I love it!!!

Just checked the forecast. The forecast is boring... every day the same weather. Partly cloudy with highs between 84 and 86 and lows 72 to 74 (inland and around 80 at the beaches) http://www.weather.com/weather/local/33140
