Trying to figure out why neither will work. the bench work though .... near as I can tell from my assembly manual there a two circuit breakers in the fuse box and a power window wire.
No circuit breakers are in my fuse box where they go there are fuses. could this wire and no circuit breakers be the root cause?
what is the purpose of the power window wire and is there a circuit breaker for both windows?
Did you check to see if there is power to the window fuse? (test light) If there is power to the fuse then that is not the issue. Remove connectors and run a jumper wire from the battery to each window motor terminals to see if they go up or down. Some causes for inoporable windows are burnt our switches, breaks in the wiring harnesses. I'm not the best diagnostician but maybe this will help. More experienced persons will chime in.

This test light thing seems like a task in itself. This fusebox location is a brilliant idea.
No big task at all. If you do not have a test light you can go to sears, harbor freight, or one of the big chain auto stores and purchase a test light if you do not have one just make sure the one you purchase has a long enough cord to reach from the battery to the fuse box. With the key in the on position place the test light on both spades atop the fuse. The light should light up.

The test light isn't the problem, it is getting up under the dash to reach the fusebox hahaha
