Default Correct numbers?

Hi guys,looking to buy a 68 vette .Vin .......417359,trim tag I26[late April?].Block casting A 12 8[January?] is that to long for a matching numbers car.Jeff

I think 6 months before the cars production is excepted. My 68's engine was cast three weeks before the engine was built. a tick over a month before it was in the car.

It's not too long a time lag, but are you trying to figure out if it's the original engine or just ''matching numbers'?

just check the # on the block, it should be on a flat spot underneath the car. The # will match the last 4 of your vin.

Back again Vin no's are 19467S417359,Pad no's 18S417359,10418IQ,trim tag I26,casting A123 or 8 and 8916321.
