C4 blower motor info?

C4 blower motor info?
I read several posts on here about upgrading to the C4 blower motor on our C3's. I am rebuilding the factory AC/heater box on my '77 and would like to upgrade. Can anyone give the specific year C4 or even part number? I've also read that a spacer is needed? Any info on this either? TIA...

You do not need the C4 blower motor; you want the squirrel cage fan. It's about 1/2" longer than the C3 fan and more efficient. Moves more air.
You will need a spacer under the blower motor to compensate for the additioinal length of the C4 fan.

There was a pretty lengthy thread here a couple of years ago which provided how to's on completing the job. I believe Durango Boy did much of the work but I don't know if he's still active here or not. Do a search and perhaps you'll find it.
