Carbon deposits galore
My '80 Vette has had a TPI conversion done by PO - and as part of some work I'm doing, I had to remove the TBI. The TBI itself was full of deposits - and the story was much of the same when looking in the intake plenum (pic below)

I already cleaned the TBI properly and got a new IAC - but unsure about what to do with the intake plenum. Is it normal for it to be this "gunked up"? Also, should I attempt to clean it (if so, with what?)
