Default Please explain this wiring technique.

My wires are drooping down by the exhaust manifold area and are probably melting a bit.

So I am thinking I need to do some re-wiring.

As seen in the pic below, how does someone accomplish this. My engine is almost all stock parts. I just love how clean this wiring job is, but not sure if I need a new air filter for this, or the piece right in-front of the filter. I am new to all this stuff.

I tried running my spark plug wires like that. They look good, but hard to keep from burning them with a stock rams horm exhaust manifold. I wound up putting them back like General Motors had them; under the manifold.

you can get "socks" from Summit that slip over the boots and protect the wires from the heat.
