Automatic to manual conversion (Pedal assembly)
I'm planning on doing a auto to 5 speed conversion on my 76 vette.
I hear the install of pedal assembly is the hardest to do.
Anyone have some instructions on this? or guidance?
Thanks

I will be doing the same thing on my 72 automatic. I bought a 4sp peddle assembly on ebay and I don't see where it will be hard to put in. You need to take the steering column out (I am putting in a tilt column also) and I would take out the instrument cluster. While you are at it I would change out the power brake booster if you have power brakes. It is not a fun job do to later.

There isn't really a "4 speed pedal assembly" per se. The bracket is the same as the automatic but there are two pedals hanging from the bracket vs. The one for an automatic. I have a complete narrative of the job with a parts list available which I can send you late Saturday or Sunday (out of town right now); just pm your email to me and I'll get it to you.

Thanks 69fastfun. Guess what I should have said is that people who have done this job said the pedal/steering column is the hardest part of the job.
BirdSmith, thank you. I'll PM you. Much appreciated.
