Default 1972 Corvette Drive Train

My 1972 Vette has a 3:08 rear. That year they also offered a 3:36 rear. I was thinking of converting my 3:08 to the 3:36. Was wondering if anyone did this and what the results were. If it is even worth doing.
Thanks,

If your looking for a performance upgrade, I think you may find that the difference between a 3:08 and a 3:36 is negligible. To really see a difference, especially for the time and money involved, I'd consider a 3:55 or 3:70 gear.

the difference is a lot better going to a 3.55 or. 3.70 from a 3.08. I have a 3.55 if you are interested. It is in good condition and made no noise whe n removed. It has not been rebuilt but could be but it could also be run as is with no problem.

Thanks, that seems to be the general concensus to my question.
