problem getting a/c pump out

Default problem getting a/c pump out

so i cant get the bottom bolt out of the pump that holds it in the bracket to move the pump. is there a trick i dont know about or what? its a 79 if that makes any diff

it is threded on the front side of the bracket, if that makes any difference...

ya it is. i can back the bolt out almost 2 inches and then it just sits and spins

Unbolt that top brace that goes to the intake manifold, it may just be causing the bottom of the compressor to bind a bit on the bolt.
Then keep pulling on the bottom bolt.

The lower bolt goes through a sleve and is only threaded on the end. The support bracket is threaded on one end.
Mine had to be punched out with a long drift because the sleve was rusted somewhat.
