Default Pulley Question

Are there deep groove (HP) pulleys available for a/c cars? Second question: where/who is a good source for a full set of pulleys for '68, BB, A/C? [Short pump, obviously] Thanks in advance.

I think that this can often be one of the biggest challenges in putting a car back together, finding all of the correct pulleys for a particular application. Having said that, if you know what accessories you have, or will have, installed on the engine the AIM should be of help.

If you have most of the original and correct pulleys and are only looking for a couple of missing pulleys that shouldn't be too big of a problem. Go to a site like Paragon and check their section for engine pulleys and you should be able to find what you're looking for. They have pretty detailed information including in most cases actual GM part numbers that will help you find the correct pulley you're looking for. On the other hand if you have a mix of correct and incorrect pulleys, you may find it much less frustrating to replace the incorrect ones rather than trying to find a non factory combination that works.

Another option is to check with a site like Jegs or Summit for a complete setup such as March sells. At least then you know the pulleys will all work together.

Good luck... GUSTO

68 BB Camaros use similar pulleys and may be more available and affordable.....for some reason these Vette parts stores jack the prices as if there not making enough money......
