Everyone says i should be able to hit the 13's here, but my friends are telling me 14's, why is this? Any opinions on what to do to get in the 13's with a zz4? Is it hard? I dont understand....
Do a search for 74vette (chris) and then look at his website. I think he was in the 13.3-13.5 range before he went with the Hot Cam and a few other items that got him in the 12s. But there are other guys who are in the mid 13s with the ZZ4 as is out of the box. The only thing I see on your post that may penalize you, is the rear end ratio. 3.08s aren't the best for the track, but I'm sure they're nice on the highway. The ZZ4 has enough torque to push you off the line pretty good though.
BASED ON MY EXPERIENCE WITH 3:08 GEARS AND AN AUTOMATIC, YOU "MIGHT " BE ABLE TO GET INTO THE 13'S IF YOU ARE RUNNING A DRAG RADIAL OF SOME SORT. MY GUESS WITH STREET TIRES = MID TO LOW 14's.
JUST AN OPINION; LATER GENE
With a TH350 and 3.08, you might be in hard to hit 13s but not impossible. Do a search on UltraSlow, I think he either had one or raced a friend with a C3 TH350 3.08 ZZ4 and the guy did 14.0 and 100.
dude, you are inthe 13's...no question in my mind. I have 3.55's and ran 12.98 and consistent 13.0s & Mike69 is in the 13.3s with stock zz4 and 3.36....your not too far off witth 3.08's even if it is a 13.99 its still a 13!
My buddies Stock (execpt for airbox and K&N) 98 Camaro SS did 13.46 before he went to 4.11's (he did 12.96 with the 4.11's  ) and when we "play" on the street, I am just a quick if not a little quicker than him. I am guessing I can run a consistant 13.5 but I have not taken it to the track yet. My ZZ4 is stock (execpt for the MSD setup) and I have 3.36 gears. You should be in the high 13's with the 3.08's
