[Resto] Question
OK.. This question may seem a little dumb, How hard is it to pull the body of a Chrome Bumper C3 off the frame to do a resto? I have not worked on a vette to many times before but as it is fiberglass I imagine great care must be taken not to tweak the body glass but otherwise it looks ,and I imagine, is pretty straight forward.. Any Caveats that people have encountered? As most know I do not have a project as of yet (due to lack of Job and house renovations) but I am trying to gather as much info as I can BEFORE hand so I know what I will be running into.. Thanks!!
Check out my website. We're in the process of a frame up rebuild (not restoration). Not as hard as you might imagine, but you need an assembly manual and make sure everything is tagged and marked.
You also have to avoid the "while I'm here I might as well......." syndrome, that can get expensive. Its fun though, and you sure learn a lot.

Looks GREAT!... Can't wait to see more updates .. :D
It took me a few to notice the rear crossmember bend.. Why not just replace it? It seems it would be cheaper and sturdier in the long run than trying to torch and hammer it out.. Just my opinion.. if you have a reason Let me know I am curious :D
