wiper motor test?

wiper motor test?

My wipers just stopped working last Saturday on my 71 car. The door opens , so vacuume is working. But the motor does not come on. The micro swtich on fire wall is fully activated. I used a test light and the yellow center wire was hot at the connection to the motor.

I have removed the motor. Can you test the motor with a dirrect connection to a battery?

One of the first things I do is probe the lt blue,if the motor runs its not a motor problem.

Thanks Ernie,

I am also replacing the steel vacuume tube that crosses the firewall.

Can not reinstall the motor until I get part installed.

The bench test proved the motor was OK, After I started using good judgement and testing procedures from your tech bulliten I beleive I had somehow turned the overide switch off at some point.

Hard lessons stay with you for ever.
