Fully stopped and trying to enter a busy street from a side street, with my wheels turned to the left, I juiced it a little to make it through a small gap in traffic. The road was slightly damp. I spun about 150 degrees.
No harm, no foul, and no cops, :D but you should have seen my wife's face. I got away with my first stupid move.
I've been there, done that....never again.....I ended up along side some fella's house at 3:30 a.m......and he came out with a gun.....I had to tell him I fell a sleep at the wheel, however he wasn't buying the story since I smelt of booze and my co-pilot was theatening to kick his azzz if he put that gun down....Turned into a real messy situation when the cops arrived because now they wanted to arrest the guy with the gun for threatening us...I told them he did not point the gun at us or threaten in any way....all the while I was telling my co-pilot to shut the smuck up or he'll be walking home from there....I don't throttle while on the bottle anymore. :seeya

Re: My turn to spin out! (DELTA DART)
You're gonna put your eye out with that thing yet!
Jay---Oasis again this Sat. 4p-8p. I think there's also something going on at Neville Island from 12n-4p. All we need is a cruise from 4p-12m and we'll be set!
I had a little spin out saturday.
I was a bit more stupid though...
Was testing the limits around a corner, hit a patch of water and lost it.
Went sideways into a curb and a no parking sign, The curb took out my sidepipe and under-door trim and the sign smashed a piece of glass in my rear quater about a foot long.
I'm gonna try to fix it this weekend but...

Re: My turn to spin out! (Alwyn678)
We must have all done this at one time or another when the roads are wet. I was with my wife at the time and told her those famous words " Watch This! Sure enough, it started going sideways and there was nothing I could do but hold on. Luckily no one was coming and it just went around 180 degrees. Just a little embarrassment and a u-turn and we were on our way again.
Note to self, do not gas it when the roads are wet. :conehead
16 years old, and still within the first few months of having my vette(not to mention my first car!).
A female friend of mine was leaving school the same time I was, so I showed her my car. She wasn't with me, but we left campus at the same time.
So, I decided to floor it.
In the rain.
Steve learned the true meaning of hydroplaning... when I got out of the parking lot, I was facing one parked car on the side of the street... and after overcorrecting, was facing another parked car.
Couldn't tell if I was more embarrassed or scared, but the car came out in one piece. I can control moves like that to a much better degree now than I could before, though.
(Did it again a couple weeks ago and executed it perfectly! A little oversteer, mild correction, BAM, off we go. :) )
