1970 A/C Evaporator Core

Short of taking a chainsaw and cutting the care in half, is there an easy way or what is the best way to remove and replace the a/c evaporator core on a 1970 small block? Thanks

The a/c housing comes apart in two halves on the firewall side. Remove the center part and it will slide out.

Chassis Service Manual will help. If memory serves, you have to hit it from both sides - under hood and inside the car.

Both sides attach to the firewall from the inside and I believe one or two studs from the engine bay.
