I've been thinking in powdercoating all the chrome parts in my vette. Like the door handles and locks, wwidshild frame etc. My car is black and I have tinted windows and glass t-tops (black tint too). Well the point is, the car is all black with the exeption of those parts and the wheels. What do you guys think?
i dunno... if the car has flares... huge meats... highrise hood... really growls etc, then maybe you can get away with powdercoating
If it is mostly stock, and ya want to be different that is cool too... but most times on gmachines that i see, when the bumpers are painted, they arent metal but glass... (camaro guys are doing alot of this now  )
For me, I would not do it. I'm not a huge Chrome fan, actually not one at all. But there has to be some break in the color. I have seen the all black effect on different cars, and it is not appealing. I have seen a Bright Red 1981 Corvette with all the Chrome powder coated black, and I thought it was sharp. But at that, there was a color break.
