82 Vette-Starter Problem?
Hi,
82 Vette-Battery, alternator and starter/solenoid are 1 year old. Car sometimes starts and sometimes does not. No sounds at all when trying to start it. Battery was tested and is fine. Any thoughts? Thanks

If your looking for something to try,replace the starter solenoid with a quality unit,might work.What your describing sounds like classic solenoid heat soak,but as others have already said it could be many things.

The starter is a new Bosch with one year on it. I thought they were a good company. My mechanic told me it was the starter also. I am surprised that a new one failed after only year with about 1000 miles on it. Thanks
