I've gotten recommendations from two guys saying they did a good job, and so far they've been very friendly and professional, though until they deliver the car I can't rate them personally.
I see 'Horseless Carrage auto transport' and 'Elite auto transport' all the time heading North and south on the New Jersey turnpike? Both companies have enclosed trailers.
I used Passport Transport to ship mine from Califonia to Colorado. I paid the extra to have it shipped on a covered trailer. They did a great job and delivered a day earlier than the originally told me. :D I would used them again for sure.
Ah, now I'm gettin all nervous. I didn't pay for the enclosed trailer--they wanted twice as much for that (over a grand), and they have insurance for any damage. But now I'm starting to think I may have screwed up by going cheap. Damn!
JB just insist your vette is on the upper level of the trailer.
The vehicles on the first level catch all the leaks on the paint from the vehicles on top.
Check you agreement and make sure your covered in case of any leaks.
My father bought a car from a relative and the transport company would NOT cover him for any leak damage nor guarantee him a spot on top.
He wound up driving the 1000 miles.
Hope everything turns out well for ya.

Good point. Passport has solid floors so even if you are on the bottom you get no leaks. :D
Not by the mile, exactly--it can vary if you're close to a major city or not. Any of them will give you free quotes, though, and some of them will do it online.
