I am not saying that your T&T column has to be removed from the car to replace the ignition switch, but overall it will be a lot easier if you do.

Once you have followed these instructions and the column is out of the car, you can skip the info on removing the turn signal switch, etc. Just go directly to removing and adjusting the ignition switch.
