Fixed antenna
Hello,
Does anyone know, is it an easy job to turn a fixed antenna into a retractable?
And where to purchase an authentic retractable antenna? (in reality, I really don't need it to be authentic to the year and make, but I figure something this small might be easy to get without spending a great deal. Please correct me if I am wrong.)

Just finishing up doing this to my 72
More or less straight forward except I needed to change the coax cable over to the new one. Had to remove kick-panel, sill plate, quarter trim, rear window and upper halo trim to get the old one out and new one in. (not a huge issue or anything but pia)
I tied the wiring into my amplifier wiring so didn't need to run those all the way back up.
All in all maybe 4 hours including some adjusting of brackets etc.
Oh, I worked around the muffler, depending on your setup you may need to drop it to get up at the antenna area.
