Ok I knew when I bought my vette that the AC was not working and I knew that there were a couple of vacuum hoses missing or broke. I bought a replacement hose kit and it finally cooled off enough to start the process. I noticed from the direction sheet that came with the hose kit that it appeared to not be that hard, well I think i may be in trouble here as far as the AC working. I noticed from drawing that I can not find the vacuum valve E and F......is it suppose to be under the dash or am i misreading it?.......just finding out what i am missing before i attempt to correct it.....here is a pic
They are under the dash. They move dampers which divert air flow to the different air ducts. You can just see this one "F" on the left side of the pic. mike...
thanks Roger I called myself looking under drivers side dash and i didnt see it....but then again about that time the back started talking to me and I had to get up.........I did see where a piece of the duct work on the drivers side was broke and will have to be replaced......is this F valve just under the dash or maybe hid back under some other stuff.......Hoping it is...lol
Dash has to come out.. at minimum radio/cluster must be removed. Otherwise this job will be a lot more difficult than it needs to be. Once the dash is out of your way you'll see the object that Roger provided pictures for. Those are the E and F you are looking for.
ok woow never knew it would be that much involved ......k stupid question here but is there some sort of easy steps to remove dash? I do have a Corvette Assembly manual if there is something in there to help????
