Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)
haha ok screw this, damn videowave software expired?!@#?$!@#$!#N
heh ill post the times
first run (first run ever, without helmet, egine at about 130 degrees, almost got kicked out) 14.008/98.21mph
2nd run (let engine cool to appx 100 degrees, w/ helm) 13.806/100.11mph
3rd run (w/ helm, engine 160 degrees) 14.058/99.03mph
4th run (w/ helm, engine 160 degrees) 14.059/98.46mph
Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)
Those times are interesting. If you got better performance with the engine running cooler, then your air/fuel mixture is too rich. Looks like you would benefit from using smaller jets. But, if I were running in the 13's I'd just smile!
Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)
good terminal speed.......what tires were you using and how much grip/spin?the usual advice is that 3.08 is useless for drag.....i have found that the 3.08 gives a "softer"launch with less chance of breaking the rear end and much less wheelspin.....john :chevy
Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)
I told C3Vettesrock via AIM before that I think he should advance his initial timing to 14-16BTDC and gradually raise his launch speed till he looses tractions signifcantly and it should cut some more time off of his ET. I cant believe he hit a 1.99 60 foot with 3.08 gears!!
It makes me wonder why i am only getting 2.1 - 2.2 with 3.55. is the first gear in a th350 that high compared to the 2.20 of a M-21?
Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)

C3Vettesrock,
WAY TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!! Good job!!!!!!
Re: Just got back from teh track... (C3Vettesrock)
Do not worry about that. Once I get that motor in my car and broken in I will be there. I really want to know how the ZZ4 will run in a 4 speed with a 3.36 rear and my crappy shifting.
