Edelbrock 850 problem

My car sat for about a year until recently I decided to dust it off and revive it again.

I sprayed some starting fluid into the carb and started right up. Problem is, it doesn't stay running and I found out that the secondary just keeps on "pouring" gas even when the motor is not running. It will continue to this for about a good 2 minutes.

Now that it's flooded it won't start and the minute I step on the accelerator pedal, it will do the same thing again.

Please help!!!!!

You have dirt in the need and seat assembly or a float problem. Take the carb apart and clean it and check the float.

after you fix the carb problem it may be a good idea to change the oil which has been dilluted by all the gasoline.
