Default New Turbo Stingray Nut

Hello All,

If someone told me that I could find so much info in just one place I wouldn't have believed them. This forum rocks! I found this gold mine just days ago. I sent a few Emails with questions and I got immediate responces. Many thanks go to Monty!! Awesome car!! I WANT TO BE LIKE MONTY!! Also thanks to Olivier for the Tilt front end questions. My current project car and my First Vette is a 1972 resurrected from the salvage yard. I've wanted one since I was 11. The Shark era Vettes are number 1 in my book. Below is a brief discription of my project to date.

1976 Salvaged Vette (no front end but great body cowl to rear bumper).
1972 Salvaged GA. Vette (Using the Title and mint Frame).
VB&P Suspension complete front and rear.
VB&P rebuilt brake kit.
VB&P Offset control arms.
Ecklers custom tilt front end.
Went shopping at Corvettes of Carlsile for a complete New interior and got one.

Front oiled 360 block 4.06 x 3.48 / 8.2:1 compression.
Steel H beam rods / steel crank / 4 bolt splayed main caps / ARP studs.
Lunati 23cc forged pistons CBC2 coated tops moly sides / Total Seal Xtream rings 1/16, 1/16, 3/16 / All balanced to a 1804 gram bob weight.
Crane solid roller custom grind I286/E278 114 LSA on a 109 center @ 0.550 lift with a 1.5 rocker.
Crane Gold 1.65 rockers intake and exhaust.
Cloyes Hex adjust Timing chain kit with cover.
Brodix CNC Track 1 heads. 68cc 2.08 X 1.625 flow I 281cfm / E 212cfm @ 0.600 lift (Thanks go to Jeff at Brodix for a Great Job!!!)
Brodix HV1002 intake modified for DFI.
Holley 4DI ECU custom programmed for turbo applications and Autochart software. (Thanks Orin)
SX Peformance fuel pump and regulator with 42lb injectors to start with.
SVO 4" Mono Throttle body with fabricated aluminum elbow to intake flange.
Custom Headers with T4 turbine flanges.
2 T04E 60 trim .70ar compressor / P trim .81ar exhaust housings.
2 Deltagates 9lb springs.

Powerglide 1.82 gear T400 input shaft with transbrake.
TCI T400 8" 3200 rpm stall converter.

So far I've got a rolling chassis. I'm waiting on the crank to come back from balancing so I can assemble the engine. I should have the body on the frame this summer and running by fall (hopefully). My goal is to be finished by summer 2003. I'm adding a few pics of my current progress. This was what the engine looked like normally aspirated before I took it back apart.

Thanks goes to all in advance, I'm sure to ask allot of questions...

Frank Henry

I can't wait to get the motor together and the turbo's and the piping run...

Those pictures look like they're local to your computer. You need to put them on a server for us to see them.
I'm very curious to see the pictures of your setup. I'm thinking about doing a similar project next winter. Where did you get your custom turbo headers? Do you have any pictures of where the turbos will be mounted? What accessories are you planning on running?
For my project I want to run A/C and power steering, so I've spent quite a while staring at my engine bay trying to figure out how I can fit all these things into a stock vette engine bay.

Chris,
I had the heads flowed on a Superflow600 @ 28 inH2O with a bore sleeve of 4" with no test pipe on the exhaust. The recorded numbers are below. What I liked the most was the 0.400 lift figures.

Frank

2.08 Intake Valve
0.100/63CFM
0.200/138CFM
0.300/193CFM
0.400/239CFM
0.500/267CFM
0.600/281CFM

1.625 Exhaust Valve
0.100/60CFM
0.200/118CFM
0.300/152CFM
0.400/183CFM
0.500/207CFM
0.600/212CFM
 :jester
