Default Problem with rear sway install?

It is a VB&P 3/4 that came with the street Slolam kit. Poly and spring adjust ends. I have the 360 rear mono with normal length bolts. standard ride height.

I put the sway on and I did notice the angle of the sway to trailing arm bolts. But I wrongly figured that they must know what they are doing. Well first test drive and they made allot of bad noises. Sure enough it actually bent one of the bolts.

So I got out the measuring tape and the sway is about 45 1/2 inches center to center. The width of the trailing arm holes is more like 46 1/2.

I just had the 4 wheel alignment.

I will give VB&P the benefit of the doubt. What if my trailing arms are somehow set too wide when they put in new SS shims to set the rear toe to 1/16th per side for a total of 1/8th inch.

Could someone please measure their center to center bottom of their sway bolts and see if they have about 46 1/2 also.

My VBP rear sway bar went in correctly. Works well. I'd call them.

The distance between the trailing arms isn't static. It'll change as the rear suspension moves up and down. It shouldn't be enough to bend the bolts though. Are you sure you installed it correctly? There are 4 thick bushings that go on both ends of both mount bolts. Those should be more than enough to accommodate the variations of suspension geometry.

I talked to VB and I am going to have to make a lower mounting point 45 1/2 inches wide. They offered to send me a new chromed bolt
