Default Rear drive axles

Have a 77 and had to replace joints in both sides. Bolting back in, the locks or some call them french locks the ones with the tabs you bend over to help keep flange bolts from coming lose, are messed up going back on. Looks like red locktight would hold them OK w/o those locks. Any thoughts about using locktight and not worrying about those french locks????

Thanks for any input on this!

Have not used the french locks in years. There is no problem not using them. I just use lock washers.

New french locks are worthless.
Just use locktite.
