Default power windows dont work

hey guys i just installed a headunit into my 77 vette and now the power windows dont work and the gen light comes on does any one have an idea what might be wrong with it?

Did you disconnect the battery when you installed the headunit? Have you checked for blown fuses? Did you check if you broke any wires behind the headunit?

Buy head unit I assume you mean a stereo. Sounds like you messed up some of the wires. You need to disconnect it an start over.

I just did mine this past winter , I had to remove the center console ,the shift console and the rear console . I assume you had to do the same? Lots of wires disconnected while doing this. You may have pinched a wire somewhere. How does the car charge while running? Normal or is it showing a discharge . Is your battery going down or dies in a few days? It would be best to redo the wireing as suggested, better to catch it now rather down the road maybe having a short and a fire in your dash. Get a multi-meter and start taking some readings and find that short. Good luck
