Default mini starter wiring?

Have a CVR gear reduction mini-starer & MSD ignition. I am installing a new wiring harness and am not sure what wires to use. The red, for sure, but is it the yellow or the purple wire, since there is no need for a R terminal. thnx,

Purple wire. That is the one for the starter. The yellow is the resistance wire for the points.

Thanks Gordon. I believe that you recently covered this in another thread, but my search did not yield it.

The yellow wire isn't needed if you're running an MSD ignition. You will have already sourced a full 12v (or full current) to the ignition bypassing the factory cotton insulated resistor wire.

How RUDE!!!The post might be dead for 15 years; but I'm not; and I wasn't on this forum 15 years ago since I haven't owned my 1957 C1 that long!!! I; being a former Car Mechanic (60 years ago); figured it out my self! Concerning the starter solenoid :Battery ground goes to terminal B; battery plus goes to terminal A; and terminal R goes to the resistor.

The conversation you responded to is from 13 years ago and I dont think your replying in the correct thread/conversation as no one has spoken to you or replied to you in this conversation other than this response.
