Replaced the front seal on my 75 with power steering, removed the power steering cylinder to get the pan down.
Where the cylinder mounts to the tie rod and is held by the castle nut there is a cone shaped rubber that looks like its supposed to be a water shield.
Mine has deteriorated away, i don't see any of these in the parts catalogs. AIM doesn't show it either.
Someone have a picture of a steering cylinder with the end in question?
Is it built into the cylinder or past of it?
mds3013, yes that's it, could you please give me the part number off of it, even if its not a GM number.
What name does it go by in the rebuild kit. Who made the kit?
A rebuild kit for the steering cylinder has that in the kit?
Will have to check that out.
Thank you for the info.
Just looked online, yes the power steering rebuild kit includes that part, thanks again
