guages eratic
the needles on my guages quite often become erratic. the needles will swing wildly, I'm sure i probably know why but i am drawing a blank, some direction please

The connector on PCM board on back of cluster.. if you have a 1979.... Or, one of the fingers where the connector plugs in is hitting another one...
Pull the center dash bezel out of the car and take a look.

Then I would go straight to the printed circuit and/or the connector.. I feel pretty sure if you remove the center cluster you'll find your problem.
