1976 lens cleaning

1976 lens cleaning
Hi everyone,
I would like to clean the inside surface of my Tach and speedometer
Plastic lens.. How can I get at these lens to clean. Not sure how they come off.. My car is a 1976

You can buy new ones for about $20 ea.

You have to pull the dash and remove the tach & speedo from the inside

Thank you everyone.. but I decided not to pull out that dash and live with dirty lens ..it is just too much work at this time... John

For just cleaning the lenses thats a lot of work

It's a real PITA, and some of those plastic parts get brittle with age.
Last time I took mine out I shattered both housings.

Also, when you do go for it, mind those speaker grills as you lift the dash, they are usually
very delicate at this point.
