Sorry if this has been brought up a million times but I used the search feature and couldn't find the answer.
The wiper door on my 69 opens fine, wipers work. But, when I shut them off the door doesn't close. I read something about a sensor-switch that the passenger side wiper arm hits. The wiper comes down on that sensor fine. It could be faulty though. Is there a way to test that or is there another common issue causing this? Thanks.
The best way to tell is to remove the black and white hose that runs from the arm switch to the relay.. do this at the relay and see if it has vacuum on it. If it doesn't have vacuum on it the door will stay open because it takes vacuum on that hose to keep the door closed.
If you don't have vacuum and the door stays open then you need to check the relay to see if it's working properly.
