Default American power train

If anyone in the forum bought an engine or a trans kit from American Power Train. Can you share your experience? Will you recommend them? My recent discovery on my 72 LT1 has prompted me to replace the engine, while I am at it I am going to get a 5 spd trans kit.

I am thinking on getting one of their 350 430 hp/425tq crate motor and the 5 spd trans kit to go with it. Thanks in advance.

I can't speak for AP's engines, but I did purchase a TKO transmission from them this past spring. AP, IMO is an outstanding company to do business with. They went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed to install what I bought. The 24 hour, seven day a week customer service is just that. I called at 4:30am, on a Thursday morning, to order another driveshaft, and it was sent out that same morning. This company wants your business, and they make sure they keep it when they get it. Of all the vendors, I've never seen a bad review of them, on any forum. Give them a call, They are more than willing to help.

Default Clutch from AP

Bought a kevlar clutch kit, bellhousing,& flywheel from them. They sent two sets of bellhousing bolts instead of 1 set BH and 1 set for the pressure plate.Called them and they sent the correct bolts right away! Clutch has been in for two months and lovin it so far. AP was great to deal with.I would have bought their TKO kit but the ratios wouldn't work well with my 3.08 rear, installed a Richmond 6 spd ...Alohas....

I purchased a TKO-500 kit and installed it in my 1980. I had to do a little modifying on the cross member, but everything else fit as advertised. AP was helpful and I had no problem contacting them when I needed help. I'd go back there again.
