Is there a lock linkage adjustment?
I got a set of re-furb door latches from a Vette store on flea-bay. Ever since I bought the car the doors have been having problems with the locks. Always sticking but I was always able to get back in. Until it took me two hours one night to get the drivers door open. So I installed the 'new' latch on the drivers side last night, greased it up real good and no problems. I adjusted the linkage a bit as the outer door handle wasn't getting enough travel on the new latch to open the door but other than that it worked like a champ, until..... This AM as I leave the car to go into work I lock the door with the **** from the inside and I hear a solid SNAP. I was able to get it undone but only from the inside handle and not by using the key on the outside. What gives? Did I get a POS latch or is a linkage catching on something? I cleaned and greased everything I could get my hands on and it's just more of the same. Any ideas?

The connection from the lock cylinder to the latch isn't adjustable, but the trip rod from the interior lock **** to the latch has threaded ends on it. You may be able to help the situation by adjusting the trip rod. You might try leaving the trip rod off and roll the window down with the door panel off to see if it works with just the lock cylinder. That way you can still get into the car while checking it out.
