Put this date on your calendar, July 27th and 28th. In downtown Bay City near the river, its the BeCool Motorsports Festival. Many Corvettes and street rods, about 500 cars. If you have a car to put in the show its $10.00, no charge to come and just see the cars. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society, and the folks at BeCool who put it on are great! Check it out!
How far are you willijng to travel? There's all sorts of stuff going on in the Detroit area (which is quite a drive for me most of the time). We'll have to plan a Sunday visit to Bakers in Milford on a Sunday afternoon. A local restaurant with a weekly Classic Car Cruise. They regularly get over 400 cars there on Sunday afternoons.
We'll have to have a weeknight get together at Hooters in Flint to use a wing-party that we (I) have (20 people max).
Maye we can get something going in Lansing, too. Check the Great lakes section.
Distance is no problem if we're talkin' Hooters!!! :smash: Last year I was going to go to Valparaiso, IN in the fall, but other plans got in the way. That's just under 3 hours from here. So Detroit would be okay, but interested in anything going on in GR, or Hollan/Muskegon area. Lansing would be cool too. As I said, I'm gettin' the fever and want to go do something !!!!!!
Keep in touch....road trip sounds great !!
Heard there is a show at the GM Tech Center (Northern suburb of Detroit) weekend of May 19th. It's open to other cars, but a Vette Club puts it on, so there should be quite a few there. Naturally, I'm out of town that weekend. There's a general car show this Sunday at Freedom Hills in Sterling Hts, and, much closer to you, you're probably already aware of the "Cruise to the Fountain" in Marshall, but not until July. Regards.
June 28th and 29th there is a massive car show in St. Ignace on the north side of the Mackinac Bridge. At the local casino they have burnout night on Friday. It's an incredible show with many Vettes and Rods. Only 4 hrs. from Grand Rapids. You would not regret going. :yesnod:
May 19th at Hastings MI. Carlton Park which is a mini Greenfield Village. Corvettes only, usually about 200-300 cars. Nice ride in the country to get there.
