cowl induction

Did the 73 or any c3 vetts come with cowl induction similar to the Chevelle SS?

Yes, 73 had cowl induction & was the first year of the med. rise hood. Cowl induction could be added to all med. rise hoods through 79.

If youre referring to the little flapper, no.
Doesnt make a difference anyway it wasnt much more than a novelty albeit a cool one.

Is there any web site that I can find out more information on this? My vette has a partical system but I don't know what is missing.

All 73-75 Corvettes came with a cowl induction, fresh air system. It consisted of a flap in the rear underside of the hood, that opened under certain load conditions, and an air cleaner with a rubber seal, similar to the 70-72 Chevelle units.

A 73-75 assembly manual will show you all the parts involved, and a 73-75 Corvette Shop Manual has info on how it operates.

The flapper opens via a solenoid activated by an electrical switch under the gas pedal linkage when the pedal is floored. All show, (some noise) but no 'go'.
