Default 200r4 lock up switch help

I have been installing my new 200r4 from B/O into my 79. Working thru the stages of the install and got to the lock up wiring,
I purchased the "Complete Brake switch circuit" but found that this is suited to cars WITHOUT cruise control which I HAVE, what are my options.
Is there an easy fix as I am very close to finnishing this install
Has anyone else had this problem ?

I ran a relay off the brake switch. Send power through the normally closed contacts. So when you step on the brake the TCC will drop out.

I purchased a B+M controller to lock up the converter, that way it does not lock up until I am driving over 45mph. That seems to work well with the 200-4r. It unlocks when you slow down keeping the motor from chugging.

Thanks vanice, would you be able to tell me how and were you connected the relay ?

Is the relay a simple 12v one ?

i put the manual lock up switch right next to the headlight over ride switch. my 77 had an extra hole in the bracket and a toggle switch went in easily

I did the same on advice from redwingvette. Love it and I set mine at around 57mph, seems to work best with my 3.08's.

Any regrets going the 200-4R rather than the 700R4? Seems the 700R4 would work better with the 3.08s.

Just curious, I'm getting ready to put my ZZ4 in my 81'. Definitely getting a 4speed auto trans with the swap.

I picked up the 12v off the brake switch. Orange wire. You just have to make sure the relay you get has a set of normally closed contacts.

None!! The granny 1st gear in the 700R4 is too low for me, and I like cruising at 70 at around 1700 rpm (similar to the 700R4).

Also, the 2004R is a direct bolt in, though you must pick up a yoke for a TH350 if I recall. The 700 is slightly different and (longer or shorter, cant remember) and doesnt fit the tunnel as easily as the 200. The 200 can be built to handle well over 500 hp, not a problem with a ZZ4.

Even with the 3.08's, the ZZ4 will smoke 'em!

Oh, and the 24 mpg doesnt hurt!
