Another way, which I don't recall exactly, is to put both the car's rear wheels up with jack stands or floor jack, put her in neutral, then turn one tire and count the number of times the driveshaft turns. I'm with "johnt", as owned several 3.73 cars and about 3400 rpm at 70 mph cruising with torque converter slip. Have such a car now with 700R4 lock up 0.70 od, and about 2300 rpm at 70 mph. Pretty nice having the od, if you can build the tranny strong enough.
