Is their any company that make 3 inch exhaust system with x pipe for a 71.
I would also like that they exit by the rear valence as the original one.
The headers i ordered are hooker super competition 1.75 x 3 po collector.
Smarter people also go with a "pass under" the tranny cross member to ease exhaust routing and make the pipes come straight back from the collector and keep heat away from the tranny
No commercial kit that I know of. These are pics of the mandrel bent 3" on my '70 that was custom fabricated. It uses the stock tips and passes thru the frame at the tranny. My car would drag the pipes if it didn't go thru the frame since it's also lowered. My set up also uses a combination of band clamps and butt clamps so that it quickly comes apart if you need to work on something. Hope this gives you the inspiration to do it if you want to.
I probably should have said too that the pic back by the tire tub is before the new QA1 system replaced the leaf spring/Bilsteen set up & the new 12 bolt rear went in. It's even cleaner looking back there now.

thanks for the offer but im really far from you, i think shipping will be huge.
i have a shop that can do it custom and they work really well. I was just looking for the possibility to buy them "in box" and save some $$.
The hard part will be passing 3" pipes through the rear trans crossmember holes without hitting them and transmitting a lot of heat and vibration to the frame. They will have to be positioned just so........

Planning, planning, execution....
My don't touch the frame going thru the cutouts. Shim them in place before you weld where they pass thru the frame. Plan for torque rotation effect of the motor (set them low on the left and high on the right in the holes). Make a mount to hold them firmly in place. In the photo you can see the mount with a piece of spark plug boot insulator as the vibration pad, these were later replaced with small pieces of a silicone kitchen hot pad (honest Honey I don't know where that pad went) which is good to 500+F so it doesn't melt and is a better cushion than the fiber insulator.
Get mandrel bent pipe so you wind with reductions. Use 3" flow thru mufflers. Let her breathe!
