I would first like to say I am sure this has been discussed on here several times, But can't locate it.
I just bought my first Corvette!! 1976 Corvette Stingray and I am in love!! When I went to pick it up everything but the air worked great I drove it home and on the way the driver side window worked and passanger window stopped working, but the next morning when I was showing it to a friend The driver wondow isn't working but the passanger window is.
I tried doing some trouble shooting but I am kind of at a loss on where to start.
Should I start with the switch or should I start in the door?
Personally I am thinking it is a grounding issue, but not sure.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
I would start with the switch determining if there is power to it with the ignition on. If there is, activate the switch as if lower/raising the window and again test for power at the terminals. If there is power, the switch and all wiring before it should be okay. If so, then remove the door panel and do the same at the motor terminals. You just have to keep testing until you find the problem.

I know how I will be spending my Sunday. Hopefully I can find the issue quickly. Does anyone know where the groound for it connects too or know where I can find the wiring information?
I'd suggest picking up the GM shop manuals for your '76 if you are going to be working on it. There are 2. The main one is the '74 Passenger Car Service Manual (actually covers all GM passenger cars) and the '76 Passenger Car Service and Overhaul Manual Supplement. These may still be available from Helm, Inc. or can be found used on Ebay. Good luck with your new '76.
