I blew a header gasket, is it square or round? I'm running Headman headers and stock heads. Also will it hurt the valves driving the car to get repaired?
Not sure whether you need square or round, but it won't hurt to drive it to the shop.
One thing to consider is that headers often exert more stresses on the mounting point than stock manifolds. You're bound to get a leak again. Consider using thick copper gaskets. They are pliable and less susceptible to leaks than other materials. They say they're reusable too. They are a bit more pricy, but worth it IMO.
I use percies aluminum, havnt had any issues. They would be square port I think, call summits tech line.and yes you stand chance of burning valves if you continue to drive while the exhaust gasket blown.
